Presidents message
The first and main point is Communication. We will hold many Skype calls and communicate as a group of leaders monthly to handle all items that need our attention. Another key point is that we will deal with the physical body contact that is creeping back into our game with direct route bodychecks. We will clean this up through our newly created Referee In Chiefs who will be selected by us in the summer to make the game more safe. Our goal is to reach out to all our nations to create a safer game. This is important because we want more players to want to play our game and that means the youth of the World. And this is a cornerstone of us to create growth. A safer game brings more players to our sport.
Finally we asked all of our nations to come together and work for the common good of the sport. And I would like to say that the Board of Directors for our five cornerstone nations were all in agreement in the direction our sport needs to go to move forward. And this could be seen in the beautiful Czech embassy we had our meeting in.
This year the ISBHF will hold its World Championships in the Czech Republic. This nation loves our sport and will open its arms to players of the World coming for the World Juniors and Masters. The cities of Pisek, Strakonice and Pilsen await. In addition we are hopeful that another World Club team championship will have great success in Villach, Austria. No doubt a great year of International play awaits. And the ISBHF wants these tournaments to be the best they can be for our players.
All in all it is with great pride that I follow in the footsteps of the Presidents and Executive that have our game in a great position to move into the future. I can promise you that our ISBHF Board of Directors team will move to make the game reach higher heights during our tenure. We are ready to work for our over 100,000 members around the World!!
Have a great 2012 season.

Another key ISBHF BOD meeting was held on Sunday February 17. Many key issues were discussed and here is a quick synopsis for our ISBHF family.
We heard from the nation of Luxembourg who has a youth and adult ball hockey program running in this key new European nation. This organization has a board and infrastructure to add to our growing strength in this area of Europe which bodes well for all nations. The ISBHF BOD passed the application of Luxembourg and thus we have a new family member to join our family of nations. Welcome Luxembourg!
