Slovakia vs Czch Reublic
Shootout Slovakia vs Czech Republic 2 – 4
For the first time ever in ballhockey history, a shootout had to decide which team would move up to the final. This had become necessary as Slovakia and Czech Republic were all tied up after the round robin.
The Czech Republic won the coin toss and let Slovakia shoot first.
Matus Palocko the first shooter for Slovakia did not score. Jan Bilý then brought the Czech Republic ahead. Slovakia's second shooter Martin Obuch wasn't able to put the ball into the Czech net. Ondřej Palička did it better 2 to 0 for the Czech Republic. The pressure was big for Adrian Palak, but he handled it well, and brought his colors back. Third Shooter for the Czech Republic was Jaroslav Liška as his two teammates he put the ball into the net, 3 to 1 for the Czech Republic. Michal Sismic had to score to keep Slovakia in the game, and he did it. Michal Průcha had the first "match ball" for the Czech Republic and shot his colors into tomorrows' final.
