The 2026 Men’s and Women’s World Ball Hockey Championships will be held in

Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Ostravar Arena opened in 1986.  The arena hosts home games of ice hockey club HC Vítkovice. It underwent a 23.3 million euro renovation between 2003 and 2004. There was also a second renovation in 2015 to update the rink with modern amenities that attracted more tournaments to the arena. It was the site of the 2020 IIHF World Junior’s Gold Medal Game between Canada and Russia.

Inside Ostravar Arena

The capacity of the arena is 9,779, plus 16 skyboxes, making it the fourth-largest hockey venue in the Czech Republic. The rink can be converted into seating for concerts, increasing the capacity to 12,500.
