In recent communications with the National Federations and Local Organizing Committees regarding the 2021 ISBHF events and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the ISBHF Board of Directors would like to make the following announcement:
Due to the continuing global pandemic and the challenges nations have faced in the past year and are currently facing, the ISBHF Board of Directors has decided that the ISBHF Junior events scheduled in 2021 will not take place.
The ISBHF Junior events include the:
World Under-20 & Under-18 Boys Junior Championships
World Under-20 Girls & Under-16 Boys Junior Championships
As was the case in 2020, this was a difficult decision for everyone in the ISBHF Family, and the 2021 ISBHF events Local Organizing Committees who work very hard to try to organize the events for all players, coaches, staff, referees, parents and fans.
The safety and health of all participants, staff, families and friends are the highest priority for the ISBHF. The ISBHF would like to thank all of the international Board of Directors members representing their nations for their input and considerations.
Please be informed that the ISBHF is continuing to work on the 2021 World Men’s & Women’s Masters Championships, scheduled for September 8-12, to be held in the Czech Republic.
The ISBHF is working on its 2022 and 2023 events calendar and an announcement will be released. The ISBHF is also considering an addition of an Under-22 / Under-23 category to its events calendar.
I wish good health to you and your loved ones, and everyone in the ISBHF Family.
