The International Street & Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) unfortunately had to take a difficult decision to cancel the 2022 ISBHF World Junior Championships, originally scheduled to take place in Žilina, Slovakia, due to safety concerns of travelling nations regarding the safety situation in neighbouring Ukraine.

We are thankful to the ISBHF Family nations who has immediately come up with an alternative solution for our junior athletes, who have been missing international competition for many years due to the global pandemic.

We are delighted to announce, together with the Czech Ball Hockey Federation (CBHF), the 2022 ALPA European Cup for U20 & U16 junior categories. The event will take place on July 1-3 on two rinks in Pardubice. Pardubice is a renowned city for ball hockey, as it also was the host city of the successful 2017 ISBHF World Championships.

The secondary pad of the Tipsport Arena, the 2017 ISBHF Worlds arena, will serve as a host venue.

“The historical ball hockey city of Pardubice and the Czech Ball Hockey Federation will welcome back the youth of the ISBHF for a much-awaited return to competition. I wish all players, coaches, referees, and the organizing committee a great event!”, ISBHF President George Gortsos commented.

The Polabiny rink will serve as a host venue of the 2022 ALPA European Cup

In the U20 Women’s category, the European teams will meet in Česká Třebová, Czech Republic, in July, for an international development and skills camp, with international games to be held as well. This will be the first year of this unique project in developing the Women’s game in Europe.

All ball hockey fans are more than welcome to come and see these great players back in action at the beginning of July in Pardubice, Czech Republic!
