The ISBHF and the Slovak Ball Hockey Union are excited to announce that Poprad, Slovakia will host the 2025 ISBHF World Junior Championships in U20 Men’s & Women’s category between July 2–6 2025.

The World Junior Championships will take place on July 2–6 at Zimný štadión mesta Poprad, just three days after the end of the U16 & U23 Men’s World Championships in Hradec Králové.

Opened in 1973, the main arena of the tournament has a capacity of around 4,500 and is home to the top-tier ice hockey team HK Poprad. The stadium underwent significant renovations from 2006 to 2008, with upgrades that included new seating, lighting, and an updated cooling system. In 2016, further improvements were made to the rink size and lighting to comply with IIHF standards for the Under-18 World Championships.
